Although, the United States of America, throughout its history, has confronted threats to its national security/ safety, many times, we now face, perhaps, our greatest dangers, ever! This nation has fought wars, and police actions, and been active participants in the so – called, Cold War, but, as potentially – dangerous, as those may have been, the dangers, WITHIN, we seem to be facing, today, may be the most dangerous, ever! If, we hope to maintain, the American way – of – life, into the future, we must, proactively, address these, sooner, rather than later! With, that in mind, this article will attempt to, briefly, consider, examine, review, and discuss, using the mnemonic approach, what this means and represents, and why, it matters.
1. White Supremacists; wages: Although, some appear, to want to deny it, an objective look, confirms, in many components of our society, there is clear – cut evidence, of systemic racism! Although, unfortunately, this is nothing, new, it is compounded, by, how enabled, some White Supremacists, and other, hate – groups, have become! Those, on the economic short – side, of our economy, and system, statistically, earn significantly, lower wages, than many of their counter – parts! The has created, perhaps, the largest degree of polarization, in this country, since the Civil War!
2. Integrity: When the past President’s spokesperson, refers to falsehoods, lies, misstatements, etc, as Alternative Facts, what does that say, about the integrity, of our government leaders, etc? Only, when American voters, begin to demand better representation and service, from those, they elect, and, no longer, permit/ allow, this behavior, etc, will we become as good, as we can!
3. Timid; timely; time – tested; terrorists: Although, we see, a semi – united, front, against foreign terrorists, we witness, domestic terrorism, apparently, growing, at a concerning rate! The events of January 6th, the increase in shootings, etc, tend to divide us, when we would be far – better served, if we worked together, and sought a meeting – of – the – minds, for the greater good! Instead of timid, public officials, who followed, and prioritized, their personal/ political agenda, and/ or, self – interest, wouldn’t it be, far – better, if we had leaders, who had the courage, and ability, to proceed, with well – considered, timely manner, using relevant, time – tested techniques, etc?
4. Hatred: Certain politicians appear to use rhetoric/ vitriol, and make promises, with the result of increasing hatred, and enabling, further, these haters!
5. Ideological; ideas; issues: We should not permit, ideological differences, to separate and divide this nation! Rather, we need to proceed, with relevant, sustainable, honest, quality ideas, which realistically, address real issues, in a strategic way!
6. Needs; Neo – Nazi: Many believe, the worst, sins against humanity, occurred, by the Nazis, in the middle – third, of the 20th Century! When, we should address true needs, such as being prepared for protecting the Climate, and environmental needs, and prioritizing, all the rights and freedoms, guaranteed by the United States Constitution, unfortunately, we have witnessed, an increase in the influence, and rotten – thinking, of apparent, Neo – Nazis!
Wake up, America, and proactively, confront, the dangers, WITHIN, and demand, a meeting – of – the – minds, for the greater good, and protection of our Constitutional guarantees! Doesn’t that make sense?
